Didi Ki Dukaan is a self-sustaining and community-driven livelihood initiative by B-ABLE Foundation that empowers rural women to run their own micro-enterprises. By equipping them with essential skills, resources, and market access, the program promotes sustainable income generation while offering non-migratory solutions that strengthen local economies and ensure long-term impact.
We thank the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation for its generous support and funding in initiating this model with B-ABLE Foundation. We also extend our gratitude to our esteemed partners—MEPSC, YuWaah UNICEF, BCCL Jan Sewa, MoRD and HUL for their valuable collaboration and continuous support in advancing this initiative
We have established 272 Didi Ki Dukaan across 272 villages, each running successfully. On average, every Didi serves 70–80 customers daily, generating ₹3,500–₹4,000 in daily revenue and a monthly turnover of over ₹1 lakh. With profit margins of 10–15 percent, many Didis earn even more.
This initiative is enabling women to build sustainable, nonmigratory livelihoods. The Didis have emerged as confident micro-entrepreneurs, managing shops independently, supporting household expenses, and ensuring better education for their children. Many have gained the confidence to participate in family decisions, inspiring others in their communities. By bringing work closer to home, the program is making livelihoods possible within villages
