Drone Pilot Services in Agriculture Sprays

Objective: Training youth as drone pilots for meaningful employment opportunities. Providing technology-driven (drone) services for efficient agricultural spraying, fostering advanced crop management to support farmers in enhancing their income

This was an initiative in collaboration with General Aeronautics and B-ABLE Foundation to train youth as drone pilots, enabling them to operate technology-driven (drone) services for efficient agricultural sprays. By contributing to the agriculture sector, the program focuses on advancing crop management techniques, ultimately leading to an increase in farmers’ income. These drone pilots are connecting with farmers, mapping their fields and spraying agriculture inputs, majorly pesticides in the fields as per recommendation of agrochemical industry. The funding partner is inviting industry players to sponsor sprays for farmers fields on pilot basis. As of now, results are encouraging judicious and uniform applications of pesticides are helping in better yields. The initiative primarily covers major crops such as paddy, wheat, and various vegetables.
