Our Incubation Model of Cattle Feed Entrepreneurship is in collaboration with Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and is operating at present in Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh.
We are incubating cattle feed entrepreneurship. Thereis a need of quality cattle breed to improve income of dairy farmers; in this context, we are focusing on three components:
For this, we are working on mobilizing youth, skilling them on technical and entrepreneurship and helping them out in setting up of animal feed and nutrition support centres as Kisan Samriddhi Kendra.
The youth is identified as Kisan Sathi in a catchment area of 10-15 villages. In a cluster, B-ABLE Foundation has mobilized 18,700 farmers to associate with these entrepreneurs for their animal feed and nutrition support and source of information regarding dairy, animal health, animal breed, artificial insemination (AI) services, etc.
To manage the supply chain, there is a hub in the form of individual entity as Gajraula Gramin Samriddhi Limited, which is a collective of Kisan Sathis and farmers.
Technical support is available through local Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Artificial Insemination network, milk procurement agencies, banks, etc.
The aim of this incubation is to improve milk production and health of dairy animals and to promote livelihoodss.
