India has a large and rapidly growing electronics market, driven by an increasing middle-class population, rising disposable incomes, and growing consumer demand for electronic products, presenting a substantial opportunity for a skilled workforce in the sector.
DTH operators training program is a CSR initiative of Tata Play with B-ABLE Foundation, to train unemployed marginalized youth as DTH operators and service technicians. The trained candidates are placed as DTH set-top-box installers and service providers (technicians) in their localities, enabling them to earn a sustainable income and contribute to the electronic industry by providing a skilled workforce to meet the growing demand.
There is a unique possibility that electrician and plumber can learn these skills of DTH setup box and earn sustainable livelihood for their families.
